Dental crowns are placed on the two teeth on either side of the gap in your smile. The crowns anchor the pontics in place to form your custom bridge.
What About Implant-Supported Bridges?
If you and your dentist decide that dental implants are the right choice for you, we will refer you to a trusted oral surgeon for implant placement, and our Victoria dentistry practice will handle your restoration. Here is what to expect:
Implant Placement
Two dental implants will be inserted directly into your jaw at both ends of the gap in your smile. You will need a few months to heal and allow the implants to fuse to the jawbone in a process called osseointegration.
Restoration
Dr. Heller will take impressions that will guide our local partner lab in crafting your bridge. Once it is ready and you have healed from surgery, your dentist will secure your new dental bridge directly to your implants.
