What Is ClearCorrect?
Our Victoria dentist uses ClearCorrect to address mild to moderate orthodontic issues, including gaps and crowding. ClearCorrect is an orthodontic alternative to traditional braces. It uses a series of removable clear aligner trays to gently shift your teeth into proper alignment.
Each set of clear aligners is worn for about two weeks before it is swapped out for the next set. ClearCorrect can straighten your smile with results similar to braces on a shortened treatment time frame of about 12 to 18 months.
The Benefits of ClearCorrect
Our Victoria ClearCorrect patients opt for clear aligners due to advantages such as:
Discreet Treatment
Because ClearCorrect aligners are clear and stain-resistant, they are virtually unnoticeable, and most people won't realize you are wearing them. You can also take your aligners out for important events and photographs.
Comfort and Safety
ClearCorrect aligners are BPA-free, making them a safe treatment. They're also made of smooth plastic, so they're a more comfortable orthodontic option than traditional braces.
Quick Timeline
Mild bite issues can be resolved with ClearCorrect in as few as three months. While more moderate issues may take 12 to 18 months, the overall treatment time is still shorter compared to regular braces, which on average take about 24 months.
Improved Oral Health
Misaligned teeth can make it difficult to brush and floss properly. Straightening your teeth can make dental hygiene easier. A properly aligned bite also reduces your risk of wearing down tooth enamel and developing painful TMJ issues, problems that can require restorative dentistry to correct.
No Dietary Restrictions
Unlike metal braces, clear aligners are removable and should be taken out when eating. Because of this, there is no need to worry about avoiding the foods you love for fear of damaging your orthodontic appliance.
Is ClearCorrect Right for Me?
Your Commitment to Treatment
Patients must be committed to wearing their aligners for 20 to 22 hours each day. Consistency is key for optimal results. If you cannot commit to wearing the aligners as instructed, traditional orthodontics like braces may be a better option for you.
The Severity of Your Misalignment
Clear aligners like the ClearCorrect system are a proven solution for correcting mild to moderate misalignment. If you have severe misalignment, you may need traditional braces to straighten your smile.

How Do Clear Aligners Work?
How to Take Care of Your Clear Aligners
Remove for Meals
Don't forget to remove your clear aligners before you eat. Patients should also take out their aligners whenever they drink liquids other than water. Our team suggests placing your aligners in your case while eating so you don't lose them or accidentally throw them away.Clean After Eating
ClearCorrect makes it easy to maintain good oral hygiene, as you don't have to brush and floss around brackets and wires. Simply remove your clear aligners, brush and floss normally, and clean your aligner trays with mild soap and a soft-bristle brush.
Save Old Aligners
Thinking ahead can save you some stress. We recommend that patients save their old aligners to wear in case they lose or damage their current ones. If that happens, just let us know about your problem and we'll happily get you back on track.
Understanding Your Aligner Treatment What to Expect From Our Office
The treatment timeline for ClearCorrect varies by patient. Some patients only need a few months of treatment, while others require more time. Your treatment will involve several steps:
"ClearCorrect aligners are a discreet and convenient option for patients who don't want the hassle of metal braces. This aligner system provides patients with straightened smiles and stunning results."
Maintaining Your Results
With a Retainer
Once your treatment is complete you may be provided with a retainer, though many patients are able to use their final set of aligners as a retainer. Regularly using a retainer is the only way to keep your teeth from shifting back into their misaligned position.
Most patients wear their retainer every night indefinitely, but Dr. Heller will instruct you on what is best for you. Because your retainer works just like clear aligners, patients find it easy to stay in the habit. Plus, this time around, you'll only have to wear it as you sleep — far less than you used to wear your aligners.
